Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes this is the strongest Everton squad in recent seasons and has claimed they would be a European team if they were not playing in England.Klopp’s Reds host Marco Silva’s Toffees on Sunday, with the visitors looking for their first Merseyside derby triumph since October 2010.3

That is a proper squad and it would be in all leagues in Europe.“I am 100 per cent sure they would be a European team in whichever competition, in England it is quite difficult.“But their development and improvement is obvious.” Liverpool go into the game off the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night.They are also without club captain Jordan Henderson who is suspended after receiving a red card against Watford last weekend.But the German is confident his side will be able to cope without Henderson.“We knew it after the Watford game. We will not miss him because we knew he was not going to play,” said Klopp.3

Henderson will play no part in Sunday’s derby

“We have to play without him, that is how it is. As long as the others are fit then we have solutions.“As a person he is in the dressing room, just not on the pitch. Before the game he can be in the dressing room and do whatever he does in other games.”
